I love Dirk Dallas

For those of you ladies who are married, I ask you: When was the last time you looked at your husband? I mean really looked at your husband? Even doing the mundane things in life. When's the last time you studied your husband's back as he was shaving or glanced at him while he was driving? I have realized that since Dirk and I have been married for over a year now I don't REALLY look at him as much I used to when we were dating.

Every Saturday morning Dirk and I make a hot drink, him hot chocolate and me hot tea, and we watch TV in bed together. This morning I had a headache so Dirk got up and made our drinks. As he made his hot chocolate I just watched him through our bedroom door. Later on that day he was reading a magazine while I STILL had a headache and I just laid in the bed and watched him read his magazine. I know you might be sitting at your computer wondering why I'm sharing this with you but I want to encourage you to do the same. When I look at Dirk doing the mundane things in life I am able to really think of all the reasons that I love him and why I fell in love with him in the first place. I look at him and remember the amazingly funny things he says and does. I think of the sweet things that he does for me and even the things he does that frustrate me yet make me love him more. The next time your husband is doing some "every day" task, look at him, study his body and the way that he completes the task. Look at him and remember why you fell in love with him years ago and why you still love him. After all of this make sure that you tell him what you're thinking and why you love him. We can all get caught up in saying, "I love you" all the time but really let him know why you love him.
