Finally Starting to Feel Together

Ah...what a relief! My FINAL semester of college is only 25 days away from being DONE and then I'm done forever (or at least for a long time). Our downstairs is finally feeling homey with the help of my one of my favorite seasonal items, cinnamon pine cones. We definitely still have some more to do but it's getting there. With Trader Joes near by our kitchen is stocked with about 65% organic food, 25% natural food and 10% food that, well, isn't exactly organic or natural but at least we're trying. Pam (my sidekick) and I moved my classroom furniture today and reorganized things. So, despite the fact that I missed bus duty yesterday and my principal was doing my job (yikes!), and despite the fact that the upstairs is still full of boxes, and despite the fact that I stepped on a metal thingy and bruised/punctured my foot and it still hurts, life is starting to get back to normal. I think that Dirk and I are getting into a new sense of normal and with my schooling ending soon I think that this "new normal" is going to give us a lot of time to spend with friends and family that we just haven't been able to spend much time with. I am feeling really optimistic today which is a real switch for me.

I will leave you with some yummy food items that I am currently enjoying right now...you should check 'em out!

Gotta Love Some All Natural Pirate's Booty

Trader Joe's 8 Grain Crisps
How can you not love an amazing snack with amazing packaging design???

These are all natural and have an amazing taste. Toss them with any of your favorite pasta dishes. Got 'em at Costco.

This is my guilty obsession. I could easily eat a whole bag in one sitting, thankfully they are at least whole grain.

  1. You need a ticker counting down the days till your done with school! The Gruyere cheese looks good!

  2. I have only in the last few weeks felt like we are getting back to normal from our move, and it has been 5 1/2 months. WHen I got all the junk and boxes out of the office and babies room, I felt a little bit more together. I think my "nesting sysndrom" has a lot to do with those rooms getting clean, I started and couldn't stop. :o)
I LOVE the piarats booty. But I dont buy it because I could eaisly eat a who bag by my self, and alhough they are good for you, I dont think they were intended to be eaten in an entire sitting.

  3. You should try to bake an apple pie with Geuyere crust. It's amazing... jonna has the recipe, but use Gala apple instead and all butter, no lard... it's perfection! So glad to here things are returning to normal. And WAHOO about school! YEAH!

  4. Here, here. A Ticker is in order!
