What's the Buzz?

I LOVE Burt's Bees pomegranate chapstick. It smells amazing and works great! Well I've also heard that the Mama Bee and Baby Bee stuff are really good for expecting moms and babies. I wouldn't know but maybe some expecting moms or moms that have used these products could give us all some input?

Anyway since I love their chapstick so much I thought I should try their other products. At the beginning of January I bought their Citrus Facial Scrub.

I love this stuff. It smells like an autumn dessert and makes my face so soft without being over greasy. I use it every day and it leaves my face smooth and moist. The only down side is that it is in a glass jar. I don't mind keeping it in the shower but if you share a shower with little ones it's probably not a good idea.

Yesterday I was at Target on the hunt for shampoo, conditioner and makeup remover. I wanted to change products from the salon products to something I can get at Target for a lot cheaper. I have to wash my face with ProActiv at least once a day otherwise my skin breaks out in weird itchy bumps...TMI? Anyway, at night I was using ProActiv's makeup remover cloths which I deemed too expensive for their purpose. I then tried Neutrogena's makeup remover cloths and they worked alright but not great and still were too expensive for the amount of time they lasted. While at the Burt's Bees section at Target I saw the Orange Essence Facial Cleanser. I read the back and it sounded like the right stuff for my skin.

only used the cleanser last night but so far I'm really pleased. I washed my face and by the way it felt, I didn't think it really took my makeup off. But I looked in the mirror and it looked like it was all off. The true test was a swipe of toner to see if there was any makeup residue. I swiped and the cotton pad was squeaky clean, which is more than I can say for the makeup remover cloths. One thing that I loved was that after washing and exfoliating, my skin didn't feel tight or rough. I obviously need to use it for at least a week to give a true review but so far I am very pleased.

During this trip I also bought the Very Volumizing Pomegranate & Soy Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells amazing and so far I really like it.

I'm almost out of facial moisturizer so I'm looking into some products that might suite those needs. I currently use Arbonne but I'm hoping I can switch over to Burt's Bees.

Are there any Burt's Bees products you love or hate?

  1. The stuff you got me for stretch marks seems to work really well, concidering I have none. That was one of my huge fears was stretch marks, but using that stuff at night, and baby oil when I get out of the shower has seemed to do the trick!

why don't you try matrix hair products? they are for a salon, but now sell them at target, walmart. also, they are a good value for how long they last- a year or more?
