Happy Birthday to Me :)

Last Thursday was my 26th birthday. It's so weird that I'm 26 and that Dirk and I met almost 10 years ago, so crazy. I was super spoiled this birthday.

I had to go to my classroom for a bit so I woke up right as Dirk left. After I got ready I went downstairs and found a hot Pumpkin Spice latte and a reduced fat cinnamon swirl cake, my Starbucks favorites! Dirk had left early for work and brought me back breakfast.

Then after I worked in my classroom for a few hours my mom picked me up and we went to Nordstroms to pick out a Petunia Pickle Bottom. I was SO excited when my mom told me that she and my dad wanted to buy me one for my birthday. I wasn't expecting to find very many of them at Nordstroms but they ended up having a pretty good selection. My big dilemma was deciding if it's okay to have a bag that I like regardless of what gender the baby is. Dirk said it didn't matter but I felt like it did, until I saw this one.

I carried it around the baby department going back and forth about whether or not to get it since it definitely looks girly. My mom finally convinced me to get it and if we find out it's a boy and I change my mind, I can take it back, although I'm not sure that I can part with it now.

Look at this gorgeous stitching!

Anyway, that's enough gushing about the bag. After we bought the bag we went to Olive Garden for our favorite all you can eat soup, salad and breadsticks...so yummy. Then we headed to my parents' house and hung out there for the night. Dirk and I agreed not to get each other presents but he broke the rules and bought me Colbie Caillat tickets at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney. I'm SO excited!!! Overall it was a really great birthday and I felt completely spoiled. Thanks guys!

  1. Happy 26th! I did not know that you were a September birthday also. My birthday is the 3rd! That explains so much :)

Anyway, love the bag and I recently got my first PBB too. I Will have to post pictures of it soon. I definitely think it's ok to have a bag that you love regardless of the gender because you won't be carrying a purse for the next few years and you'll want it to be something you like and not some cartoon character splashed all over you like a walking billboard.
