Baby Registry

Saturday was a really fun day as Dirk and I started out at Victoria Gardens and then headed over to Babies-R-Us to register for Baby D. First, we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, where we learned that not everything at Cheesecake Factory is amazing. Then we went to Borders and headed to Babies-R-Us.

Before we went to Babies-R-Us I had done a TON of research to pick out the best of everything. Well that all went to the wind and at times I was completely overwhelmed. When we registered for the wedding I knew almost exactly what we would need and what we wouldn't. When it came to registering for the baby I was lost at times. Do we register for things she'll use months down the road or just for things we'll need for her first few months? How many blankets are we going to need? Do we really need a lot of bottles if I'm going to be breastfeeding? That was just the beginning of the questions. We spent about 2 1/2 hours in Babies-R-Us and had a great time but I'm sure I'm going to need to go back to add some more things to the list. At least we have 2 months to finalize everything.

Here are some pictures from the day:

Dirk is always in charge of the scan gun

Watch out, Dirk Vader has the gun!

This was one of my favorite things we registered for :)

Touch the Cow NOW

We were so excited when we got to the glider section...we were SO tired and they were SO comfortable. I can't wait to have one of these to rock our baby in.

  1. Registering for Harper was totally overwhelming for us too. Especially the bottles! Piece of advice: You never know what bottle your little one will like/be able to use, so it may be trial and error until you figure it out. And yes - definitely get bottles even if you're breastfeeding. You're going back to work and she'll need to eat. :) Plus it will allow you and Dirk to have a date and not have to worry about rushing back to feed her.

We have that pink poodle Jittery Pal too. It used to make Harper cry, now she finally thinks it's funny. Oh, and Jon is ALWAYS in charge of the gun.
