Meet the Dubiens and I HAD to try it. It was A LOT more difficult than I thought it would be with a baby but we made it work. It's not as "perfect" as it would be if you have older kiddos but I know that Dirk will still love it. He's not going to see it until tonight (Friday night) so don't say anything to him if you see him today. :)
Here's what you'll need:
White cardstock or paper
fine point sharpie or felt tip pin
colored paper for the mat (optional)
1. Paint one hand
2. Stamp the hand on your paper facing downwards at a diagonal
3. Paint the opposite palm
4. Stamp the hand on your paper facing downwards at the opposite diagonal
5. Use your black marker to write a special note. If it doesn't fit all the way around use x's and os' to make up the rest of the room.
6. OPTIONAL: Cut the paper you're using for a mat so that it fits in your frame (just use the glass or paper insert that comes with the frame. Cut out the heart and glue it on the mat. Place in the frame.
note: If you are doing this with a small child you will want to use a mat because the paint doesn't seem to stay in one place on the paper, resulting in a messy white paper.
