Farm Fresh to You

As you saw in my last post, we signed up for a local CSA called Farm Fresh to You. This service, so far, is awesome! We are paying $31.50 for a box of organic, local produce to show up at our door every Friday. Each Friday I get to see the list of produce we will be receiving for the following Friday and can make changes to it as needed/wanted.

Although I haven't been able to really put it to the test, I am thinking that this is really going to help me save money on our grocery bill since I feel like a majority of our grocery bill comes from the high produce prices. We calculated how much this box would cost at the grocery store and it would cost about $30 BUT that's for your regular produce, not organic. So far everything we've eaten from our box is really good. I can tell the difference in the taste of the tomatoes and lettuce for sure. I'll keep you all updated every week as I get new boxes and try out new recipes with the produce we're receiving. I'm really excited about it!

If you are in the Southern California area and are interested in this service. I can give you a referral code that will give you $5 off your first box. Just leave me a comment with your email address and I'll send it to you. :)

  1. I used to subscribe to this same service! We got the variety box every few weeks and liked it for the most part. But then I noticed a lot of it was wilted or in bad shape, and ended up cancelling. I hope you enjoy it, though! It's available in the Bay Area as well.

  2. Steph,
I have heard some complaints of the same thing so we'll see how it goes. I'm so glad that we can cancel at any time. A lot of the services have subscriptions so at least this one we can cancel. It looks like you guys have a nice farmers market nearby?

  3. Yes! We have a farmer's market every weekend, as well as a produce stand open every day really close by. I'm spoiled! (And I'm growing veggies in my backyard)
