First was Zechariah. We learned that Zechariah didn't believe what the angel Gabriel said when he told Zechariah that his wife Elizabeth would have a son so God shut his mouth so he wasn't able to talk. Makenzie says, "Zechariah, no talking." The bubble over the mouth really helped her to understand that.
The next day was the angel. We read about the angel Gabriel again but this time he came to Mary to tell her that she was going to bear a child and He would be the messiah.
These crafts are really helping Makenzie to see the concepts I'm teaching in a concrete way. I'm so thankful for this book!

I am seriously amazed that she sits and listens, and actually understands some of what you are doing. It's awesome to see God working on a child's heart! This isn't something I would ever dream of trying with Ryan now, but hopefully someday in the future.
