What Are You Doing for Easter?

I've found some great ideas for Easter this year and I'm really excited to share with you. They are not my own and in fact aren't even my pics, but they are too good not to share. So here's a round-up of the Easter things we'll be doing/have been doing this week.

First of all, Amanda from Impress Your Kids has this great idea for "un-Easter Baskets" that we will be implementing Saturday night and Sunday morning. It is such a great idea to really show Christ's love and His forgiveness of our sins while still incorporating the fun of an Easter Basket and getting goodies inside. We are going to split it into Saturday night and Sunday morning but follow her "plans". You have to check out her entire post to see how she does it, so cool!

I mentioned that we are doing resurrection eggs. I was really feeling overwhelmed and not sure that Makenzie would get the whole picture with 12 pieces to the story, that's a lot for a two-year-old but Julie from the Happy Home Fairy wrote a post about Toddler Easter Eggs so I jumped on that opportunity. It is a condensed version (only 6 eggs) that I'm sure will be more memorable for Makenzie AND it uses stuff that EVERYBODY has in their home (with the exception of maybe the eggs), so you can go make them right now. We are starting tomorrow, which is a little late, but I'm really excited about seeing how Makenzie takes to it. Make sure to check out the full post on how to make them!

Lastly, Focus on the Family's "Thriving Family" site has craft suggestions for each day this week, that sound like fun. We may do a few of them. You can check those out here.

We will also be dyeing eggs and doing our other traditional Easter activities but I thought that these ideas were a few more great ways to keep the holiday all about Christ while still having TONS of fun!
